Traveling To The Khmer Religious Site Of Wat Phu In Champasak, Laos

Next my lackluster Laos experience continued to the site of Wat Phu just outside Champasak.

I know it is just a few dollars but getting grossly overcharged for transport has continued to affect my fun-o-meter.

Wat Phu is considered a must see by the popular travel book but I would respectfully downgrade that rating a notch or two.
The most remarkable part of experiencing Champasak and its outskirts is how unremarkable a place can be. No doubt I have been spoiled by far more superior destinations so after a 2 night stay I was eager to move on.
